The Realme Neo 8 may be released in China next month, according to a leak that has surfaced once more. The Realme Neo 7, which debuted in December 2024, is anticipated to be replaced by the alleged phone. The next phone’s battery size was disclosed in an earlier leak, and now a source has provided further details. Interestingly, it is also stated that the Realme Neo 8 would be introduced in India later in 2026 under a new name.
January 2026 is when the Realme Neo 8 is expected to launch.
Tipster Abhishek Yadav (@yabhishekhd) stated that the Realme Neo 8 will launch in China in January 2026 in a post on X (previously known as Twitter). Additionally, the insider mentioned that the phone may be released as the Realme GT 8 in India and other international regions. Given that the Realme GT 7 debuted in May 2025, the timescale for its replacement may be comparable.
Additionally, the informant disclosed some important details about the alleged Realme Neo 8. It is reportedly outfitted with UFS 4.1 storage, LPDDR5X RAM, and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 CPU. Additionally, it could include an AMOLED screen with a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz.

Furthermore, according to Yadav, the smartphone would include an 8,000mAh battery and capability for 80W cable charging. In addition, it has compatibility for Bluetooth 5.4 and Wi-Fi 7, an X-axis linear motor for haptics, and a 3D ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner. According to reports, the phone has an IP68 grade for splash and dust protection.
According to a different source from last month, the Realme Neo 8 may include a 50-megapixel main camera on the back and a 6.78-inch LTPS flat display with 1.5K resolution.
As of right moment, not much else is known about the smartphone. But last month, the Realme GT 8 Pro was introduced in India by the business. The phone, which starts at Rs. 72,999, has a 6.79-inch QHD+ AMOLED screen with a refresh rate of up to 144 Hz. It has a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 CPU, up to 512GB of UFS 4.1 internal storage, and up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM.
The Realme GT 8 Pro’s optics include a 200-megapixel telephoto lens with up to 120x digital zoom, a 50-megapixel primary camera, and a 50-megapixel ultrawide sensor. It has a 32-megapixel selfie camera on the front.
