At The Game Awards, Crystal Dynamics and Amazon Game Studios unveiled two new Tomb Raider games. Crystal Dynamics’ upcoming mainline TR game is called Tomb Raider Catalyst. The game takes place in Northern India and centers on Lara Croft as she races against other treasure seekers and terrifying enemies in search of a powerful and legendary treasure.
According to Crystal Dynamics, Tomb Raider Catalyst will be the biggest Tomb Raider game to date. There will be a variety of environments throughout the game, including old ruins, tall mountains, and lush jungles. In 2027, Tomb Raider Catalyst will be available on PC (via Steam), PS5, and Xbox Series S/X.
Tomb Raider Legacy of Atlantis Revealed
Tomb Raider Legacy of Atlantis, the game’s 30th anniversary, will allow fans to explore the history of the original Tomb Raider before Lara Croft’s next fresh adventure. Legacy of Atlantis, a comprehensive remake/reimagining of the 1996 original, will feature well-known and famous places including the deserts of Egypt, the ancient Greek ruins, and the jungles of Peru.
The game will include improved graphics and playability, as well as complex platforming. Crystal Dynamics and Flying Wild Hog are developing Tomb Raider Legacy of Atlantis, which will be available on PC (Steam), PS5, and Xbox Series S/X in 2026.
Control Resonant
Remedy Entertainment debuted Control Resonant, the Control sequel, at The Game Awards 2025. Players will take on the role of Dylan Faden, the brother of Jesse Faden, the main character of the previous game, in what is billed as the next installment in the Control universe. Control Resonant will have new skills and a shapeshifting melee weapon called the Aberrant, whereas Control concentrated on telekinetic powers and third-person shooting.
The positions are flipped in the next round, where Dylan has to locate Jesse, his sister. Remedy claims that Control Resonant is intended to be both a follow-up to Control and a fresh starting point for new players. In 2026, the game will be available for the PS5, Xbox Series S/X, PC (Steam and Epic Games Store), and Mac (Steam and the App Store).
Divinity Revealed
A mystery real-life demonic statue has been used by Geoff Keighley and The Game Awards to hint at a significant surprise over the past week. A leak revealed that the statue was connected to a forthcoming Divinity game after much conjecture. That was verified on Friday at The Game Awards. For their upcoming game, Divinity, Larian Studios released a graphic and brutal trailer.
Given how enormous Baldur’s Gate 3 was, Larian claimed that Divinity was its biggest game to date. The release window has not been confirmed, and the developer has not yet provided many details. However, Divinity ought to eventually be available for PC and modern platforms.
Star Wars Fate of the Old Republic
Star Wars: Fate of the Old Republic, an action role-playing game that puts players in the role of a Force user, was one of the greatest revelations at The Game Awards. Casey Hudson, the renowned director of the first Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic and the Mass Effect trilogy, founded the new studio Arcanaut, which is working on The Fate of the Old Republic.
The Star Wars website states that the game will have “innovative storytelling, memorable characters, and heart-pounding combat.” It appears that players will have the option to either join the dark side of the Force or remain with the light in Fate of the Old Republic. The game’s release date is still unknown.
Highguard
Highguard, a free-to-play PvP hero shooter from the makers of Apex Legends and Titanfall, was the show’s last surprise. The game appears to be Overwatch on horseback based on the gameplay. Players will ride, battle, and raid as Wardens across a legendary continent in Highguard, a PvP raid shooter.
On January 26, 2026, Highguard will be available for free on PC (Steam), PS5, and Xbox.
