The tech company’s newest Pad Air model, the Oppo Pad Air 5, was introduced in China on Thursday. The firm is already accepting pre-orders for the new tablet, which will soon be available for purchase nationwide. In addition to the Soft Light variations, it will be available in two colors. The 12.1-inch display on the Pad Air 5 has a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. The new tablet is powered by an octa core MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Ultra chipset and a 10,050mAh battery. Additionally, it has a single 8-megapixel rear camera.

Cost and Availability of the Oppo Pad Air 5

The base Oppo Pad Air 5 model with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage costsCNY 1,899 (about Rs. 24,000). The more expensive 8GB RAM + 256GB storage and 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variants, on the other hand, cost CNY 2,199 (approximately Rs. 28,000) and CNY 2,499 (about Rs. 32,000), respectively.

However, the Soft Light models with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage and 12GB RAM and 256GB storage are priced at CNY 2,399 (about Rs. 31,000) and CNY 2,699 (approximately Rs. 35,000), respectively.

On December 31, the Oppoonline store will launch the new Oppo Pad Air 5 in China. It will be available in two colorways: Space Gray (translated from Chinese) and Starlight Powder.

Features and Specifications of the Oppo Pad Air 5

ColorOS 16, which is based on Android 16, powers the Oppo Pad Air 5. It has a 12.1-inch LCD panel with a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz, a resolution of 2,800 x 1,980 pixels, a peak brightness of up to 900 nits, a pixel density of 284 ppi, a touch sampling rate of up to 540 Hz, a 7:5 aspect ratio, and a color gamut of 98 percent DCI-P3. The MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Ultra chipset, which has eight cores and a maximum clock speed of 2.5GHz, powers the new Pad Air 5.

Its SoC is combined with an Arm Mali-G615 MC2 GPU, up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage, and up to 12GB of LPDDR5x RAM. The Oppo Pad Air 5 has a single 8-megapixel camera on the rear. Additionally, it has an 8-megapixel front-facing camera for video chats and selfies. The tablet’s back camera can capture films at 30 frames per second in 1080p HD.

The Oppo Pad Air 5 has two connectivity options: a USB Type-C port and Wi-Fi 6. In the meantime, further support for 5G, Beidou, GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, and QZSS connectivity is added to the cellular version. Ambient light, color temperature, electronic compass, accelerometer, and hall effect sensors are among the onboard sensors.

The 10,050mAh battery of the Oppo Pad Air 5 supports 33W SuperVOOC wired fast charging. It weighs roughly 599g and has dimensions of 266.01×192.77×6.83mm.
