For years, there have been rumors that Apple is working on a foldable iPhone. According to leaks, the alleged phone may ultimately be released in 2026. The widely used iPhone Fold, a book-style foldable, may have a wide-display design, according to a new YouTube video that breaks down its CAD images. The iPhone Fold could have a very small screen crease, but it might be more in line with the dimensions of the Google Pixel Fold.

CAD models of the iPhone Fold show a sizable interior display and a small exterior panel, according to a FrontPageTech video on YouTube. It looks just like the Google Pixel Fold. According to tipster Ice Universe, the R-angle will be the only distinction between the alleged iPhone and the rumored Samsung Galaxy Wide Fold. The alleged iPhone could be more rounded, but the Samsung phone seems square.

According to the FPT video, the iPhone Fold will have a 7.8-inch inside display and a 5.5-inch external screen. In contrast, the Samsung Wide Fold is anticipated to have a 7.58-inch outside screen and a 5.35-inch inside display, which are almost exactly the same as the rumored Apple phone.

The thickness of Apple’s foldable phone is anticipated to be 9 mm when folded and 4.5 mm when unfurled, comparable to the Galaxy Z Fold 7’s 8.9 mm when folded and 4.2 mm when unfolded. According to Jon Prosser of FPT, the apple iPhone Fold may conceal the crease lines while retaining precise touch response by combining a pressure-dispersing metal plate, liquid metal in the hinge, and an in-cell touch display.
