According to reports, Samsung has included the features of Perplexity and DeepSeek into its Bixby Live AI assistant in order to rival Google Gemini Live. A beta version of the impending One UI 8.5 upgrade, which is based on Android 16, had the new integration. A number of new capabilities, including as the ability to export AI-generated results to documents, are reportedly included in the AI assistant upgrade. Additionally, it is said that users will be able to attach several photographs and videos to their questions in order to receive replies via Bixby Live.

Galaxy Techie, an X user, noticed that Samsung had included Perplexity and DeepSeek’s AI chatbot capabilities into Bixby in an undisclosed beta version of the Android 16-based OneUI 8.5 upgrade. The user demonstrates that the AI-powered assistant can now respond to questions using Circle to Search in a number of screenshots posted online. Additionally, Bixby on OneUI 8.5 is reportedly able to create documents, podcasts, music, audio files, pictures, videos, and papers that may be linked to the inquiries.

Additionally, the screenshots demonstrate how Bixby Live functions similarly to Google’s Gemini Live. Eight agents—General, Tour Guide, Interview, Positive Support, Storyteller, Listening Ear, and Dress Matching—are expected to be included in Samsung’s Bixby Live.

In Bixby’s user interface, Perplexity’s symbol was also shown next to “sources,” enabling users to verify the source of the AI-generated response.
