AI Impact Summit 2026: Theme and Vision Unveiled

MeitY unveiled the topic and vision of the AI Impact Summit 2026 during a press conference on Monday. Several government officials attended the briefing, which was presided over by MeitY Secretary S. Krishnan. The Secretary stated at the outset that democratizing AI and bridging the growing AI divide are the event’s primary themes.

Krishnan stated, “A major concern for the global community is the risk of AI being concentrated in a few regions and dominated by a limited number of firms.” AI must be broadly accessible as a horizontal, enabling technology that benefits all of humankind in order to solve this.

The Indian AI conference is concentrating on expanding access to the infrastructure both domestically and internationally. This entails exchanging essential components including computing, databases, AI models, and more. Expanding access will lead to the creation of AI solutions suited to certain nations, civilizations, and communities, Krishnan said.

The MeitY official said that in order to reap the benefits of technology integration, the government is mainly focusing on productive economic sectors including manufacturing, healthcare, agriculture, governance, education, and others.
